Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Coaster At Universal Studios In Orlando – Combines Thrill Ride With Music

I love roller coasters, and I was thrilled to learn that Universal Studios in Orlando was building a new coaster. At this point, it is almost ready to open, and I’ve been following the progress of this innovative coaster for a while now. The name is Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and the ride will combine many first-time-ever maneuvers along with the music (you customize the ride by picking your soundtrack!), providing the riders with an exciting new ride here in Orlando.

This new ride will be located near the Jimmy Neutron attraction and is inspected by Orlando Pest Control, then travel the southern perimeter of the park, heading over to City Walk, and then returning. Give them a call if you are interested in Orlando Pest Control. They are the best in town.

First, let’s address the music aspect. You get to choose between 5 genres including country, rap/hip hop, pop/disco, club/electronica, and classic rock/metal. Once you make your choice, you’ll head up the first 90-degree vertical lift which will take you 167 feet to the top. This is, incidentally, the tallest coaster in Orlando, and the highest point of this coaster.

From there you will drop down at 65 miles per hour into the Double Take, a non-inverted loop (said to be the largest in the world). From here you will encounter a Treble Clef maneuver where the tracks have been bent and twisted into a treble clef music note. A first! Not something you see every day.

You’ll segue next to a negative-gravity Jump Cut maneuver, then zoom over everyone standing in the queue (fun!), head out toward City Walk, dip underground, and emerge out by the entrance of Universal Studios. The end of the ride is an inclined loop with a 150-degree banking turn.

Another cool thing – when the ride ends you can customize footage from your ride and compile it into a take-home music video. I for one can’t wait to experience this new coaster, and plan to be first in line to check out the Rip Ride Rockit.

Evening Entertainment For Children

For families and kids, there’s plenty of entertainment that everyone will love. There is a wide choice of dinner shows available, from swashbuckling pirate shows to magical, musical, and comedy performances. The ‘Pirate’s Dinner Adventure’ has been called the world’s best interactive dinner show, with Broadway-style performances and nail-biting sword fights, all on the set of an 18th Century galleon. Another family favorite is the ‘Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show’. This show is full of laughs, with improvised comedy and fantastic magic tricks accompanied by unlimited pizza, dessert, and soda – what could be better?

Live Music

It won’t matter what your taste in music is; you’ll be able to find some great tunes to dance or rock out to in Orlando. In the evening, every theme park, hotel, and attraction play all sorts of music into the night, from rock and jazz to anything you can think of! Perhaps the most famous musical performance is at Hard Rock Live. Here, legends of rock take to the stage to perform all your favorite heavy metal hits into the night. A great family favorite is the Blues Brothers live show. Up to eight times a day, every day, brothers Jake and Elwood take to the stage to dance and sing your favorite hits from the film, and you’ll want to get up and dance too.

Bars And Clubs

If you thought Orlando was just for kids then you’re wrong! There’s plenty of evening entertainment for adults to enjoy too. With a huge choice of themed bars, nightclubs, live music, and shows, there’s something for everyone. The Universal CityWalk is the place to head for a great night out in Orlando. Stop off for frozen daiquiris at the Red Coconut Club, then head to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville for some live music and a relaxing evening sitting in the outdoor bar area. To end the evening on a high, visit the Velvet Sessions for live rock music and cocktails. The drinks are themed to the evening’s entertainment so you can drink along with legendary gods of rock and roll.
